World-Class Surgical Procedures From the Best and Most Trusted Hands

The Center for Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery is highly regarded for offering life-altering procedures that are rarely offered by other medical professionals worldwide. In fact, some of our surgical procedures are first-of-its-kind innovations developed by our very own team of surgeons.
Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeries We Offer
Tendon Injuries & Conditions
We treat a wide range of tendon and soft tissue conditions, including De Quervain's tenosynovitis, extensor and flexor tendon injuries, tennis elbow, and trigger finger. Depending on the severity and nature of your condition, treatment options may include conservative approaches like steroid injections or more advanced surgical procedures. If you've been diagnosed with one of these conditions—or suspect you may be experiencing symptoms—we can perform a thorough evaluation and develop a personalized plan to help restore your comfort and function.
Nerve Injuries & Compression
Nerve injuries may include difficulty in moving a muscle in the arm or hand or with an altered or absent sensation in a specific part of the hand or fingers. Nerves of the upper extremities may experience excessive pressure, known as “pinching” of the nerve. We offer groundbreaking nerve surgeries for brachial plexus injuries or nerve compression syndrome, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and radial tunnel syndrome.
Hand Reconstruction
In a situation where the benefits outweigh the risks – our hand surgery specialists offer hand, finger, or arm replantation or reattachment. We also offer toe-to-finger-transplant which is a common surgical procedure that involves taking tissue (bone, skin, nerves, etc.) from one area of a patient’s body and transferring it to another area of the body to improve form or function.
Fractures
Some fractures can be treated with a cast, and others will need surgery to return the bones to their correct position. If you have been diagnosed with a wrist, finger, or hand fracture, or are concerned that you might have one, our practice can assess your condition and determine the best treatment to heal your fracture and restore your function.
Arthritis
Arthritis is an extremely common but poorly understood condition. There are over 100 types of arthritis and related conditions that make up the leading cause of disability in America. In the United States, 23% of adults (over 54 million people) have some type of arthritis. We offer innovative treatments aimed to decrease pain and disability for those affected by arthritis.
Upper Extremity Amputation & Targeted Muscle Reinnervation
Following an amputation, many patients are presented with not only functional limitations but may also experience psychological and social challenges as well as significant phantom pain. With advances in surgery and modern prosthetic technology, many patients are now able to re-adjust to their everyday activities following amputation.
